Job summary

5812 Investment Group is seeking a Property Manager to lead the operations of a multi-family community, ensuring financial and operational objectives are met. The role reports to the Regional Vice President and requires salaried hours with potential evenings and weekends.

You will manage administrative operations, tenant records, collections, vendor relations, and staff supervision, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of previous experience in multi-family property management with supervision experience.
• Strong initiative and leadership potential with the ability to develop and delegate.
• Good crisis management skills to respond to crises while protecting safety, finances and reputation.
• Must be project oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage difficult situations.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and analytical abilities.
• Oral – proficient English communication; Written – clear and accurate writing.
• Strong planning/organizational skills to prioritize tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent teamwork, collaboration and ability to build morale.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee property administrative operations (A/P, evictions, collections, billing, data management and month-end close out procedures).
• Ensure resident records are accurate and rents, deposits, and fees are updated daily; issue notices as needed.
• Minimize delinquency losses by completing collection procedures and pursuing appropriate actions.
• Monitor vendor performance, contracts, scheduling, billing timeliness and insurance compliance.
• Process invoices and utility bills for payment and monitor expenses.
• Create and monitor resident manager schedules and calendars; manage office inventory.
• Appear in court for legal proceedings when necessary.
• Supervise, train, develop and mentor staff; review schedules and activity tracking.
• Plan, assign, direct work; interview and select prospective employees; complete payroll and evaluations.
• Investigate and resolve resident complaints; enforce lease terms; oversee reports and renewals.
• Assist new residents during move-in; coordinate with maintenance for turnovers and make-ready work.
• Maintain high levels of resident communication and satisfaction; review market conditions.
