Preferred Apartment Communities is seeking a Property Manager in Port Arthur, TX to lead a multifamily team on-site. You will drive leasing performance, manage the property budget, and coordinate marketing with the corporate team to meet occupancy and financial targets.

The role emphasizes staff leadership, resident satisfaction, and strong coordination with maintenance and marketing functions in a dynamic community setting.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in property management.
• Multi-family property management experience preferred.
• Local market experience with customer service, negotiation, and property marketing/advertising preferred.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Motivates and empowers staff to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly property goals.
• Plans and conducts weekly staff meetings.
• Manages leasing activity to meet budgeted goals and daily/weekly targets; sets weekly specials; leases apartments.
• Provides team leadership, coaching, and accountability; ensures job expectations are followed.
• Handles elevated resident issues to improve resident satisfaction.
• Schedules staff; plans for vacations and business requirements.
• Oversees local marketing strategy and collaborates with corporate Marketing.
• Stays current on market issues and competitive information.
• Manages income and expenses to achieve the operational budget; reviews expenses and authorizes expenditures.
• Generates property-wide communications to residents.
