Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Six years of claims experience or equivalent.
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
• Leadership/management/motivational skills; ability to develop teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the property claims team and/or several technical staff.
• Identifies trends, problems and actions; suggests improvements to management.
• Provides technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication.
• Compiles reviews and analyzes management reports; takes action.
• Performs quality review on claims in compliance with standards.
• Acts as second level of appeal for client and claimant issues; disposes appeals.
• Reviews reserve amounts on high-cost/overly complex claims.
• Monitors third-party claims and litigated matters; ensures client contact.
