Job description

At Assurant, the P&C Product Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Product Management team in analyzing market trends, customer needs, and product performance. This includes aligning with the Product Management leadership to execute the product vision and roadmap, and acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and the Product Management team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure integrity of existing products by participating in channel-driven product enhancement projects.
  2. Research business ideas, market opportunities, and trends; analyze the financial potential of new product ideas.
  3. Understand rate making and product costs (direct and indirect) for future planning and rate exercises.
  4. Define and develop new product features and market positioning based on customer needs and competitive analysis.
  5. Develop and improve quality standards, policies, and pricing for products.
  6. Prepare and present business plans and justifications for new products and business opportunities.
  7. Support the implementation of new products through internal resources and external vendors.
  8. Analyze testing results of new and existing products to ensure profitability and market positioning.
  9. Stay updated on industry and consumer trends through workshops, publications, research, and networking.
  10. Assist in the implementation and testing of products, including training and presenting to sales and client teams.
  11. Provide strategic insights and participate in brainstorming sessions for marketing and product development.
  12. Support geographic-level reporting, including creating maps, heat charts, and exposure analyses.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in product analysis within the Property & Casualty industry.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual thinking skills, and attention to detail.
  • Expertise in Excel.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and resources.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Mathematics, or related field.
  • SQL experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience interpreting forms in the P&C industry.
  • Homeowners or Condo insurance experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Inquisitiveness and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Compensation:

Pay Range: $63,400.00 - $105,800.00
