Job Title: Property Casualty/1st Party Property Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm with a national presence is actively seeking an experienced litigation attorney with a background in property and casualty or first-party property matters. This position offers the flexibility of a primarily remote work arrangement, with occasional travel as needed. Ideal for candidates with a strong litigation background and a desire to work in a tech-forward, attorney-centric environment. The firm prioritizes attorney autonomy, support, and career growth.

Duties:

  1. Represent clients in complex property and casualty or first-party property litigation matters
  2. Oversee case progress in both federal and state courts
  3. Draft and argue motions, pleadings, complaints, and briefs independently
  4. Manage discovery, conduct depositions, and prepare cases for trial
  5. Collaborate with internal teams and mentor junior legal staff as needed
  6. Participate in strategy development and contribute to practice area expansion
  7. Engage in occasional in-person court appearances or client meetings as required

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience focused on property-casualty, first-party property, or general civil litigation
  2. Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full caseload
  3. Proficient in courtroom procedures and pre-trial litigation processes
  4. Comfortable using legal technology to streamline litigation management
  5. Admission to practice law in Texas (mandatory)

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
