Hull & Company is seeking a Broker for our property brokerage group. This is a 100% remote opportunity offering a base salary and commission.

Responsibilities include:

1. Examining insurance documents to assess risk factors.
2. Reviewing company records to determine insurance coverage and evaluate potential losses.
3. Broker risks by ensuring complete information, accurate applications, and timely policy issuance.
4. Analyzing and qualifying risks, issuing quotes and binders, and coordinating with inspection companies if needed.
5. Developing relationships with carriers and brokerages to grow business.
6. Meeting with retail agency customers to develop business and strengthen relationships.
7. Negotiating placements and managing quote-to-bind activities.
8. Servicing existing clients and producing new business.
9. Training and guiding processors and assistants to improve efficiency and skills.
10. Fostering relationships across departments and with external partners.
11. Working with Branch Leaders on programs and methods for improvement.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of insurance experience, including two as an underwriting assistant.
• P&C State license.
• Proficiency in MS Office and a paperless environment.
• Excellent telephone skills.
• Experience with excess and surplus lines underwriting.
• Ability to travel as needed, maintaining acceptable driving records and insurance coverage.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000 annually.
