Job summary

Colleton County Government is seeking an Appraiser in the Assessor’s Office. Under general supervision, the candidate will appraise property value, locate properties by tax map, and establish public records for tax rolls.

Mapping duties include calculating acreages and transferring properties. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with 2–3 years of appraisal experience, a valid SC driver’s license and SC Real Estate Appraisers License or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with 2–3 years of property appraisal experience.
• Valid driver’s license and SC Real Estate Appraisers License or Certification required.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check; three-year driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Appraise property value and analyze data to determine fair market value.
• Locate properties by tax map and identify for tax roll.
• Establish public records of property and perform mapping duties to calculate acreages.
• Transfer properties as part of the valuation process.
