Job summary

Colleton County Government is seeking an Appraiser for the Assessor’s Office. Under supervision, you will appraise property value, locate properties by tax map, and establish public records for tax rolls.

Mapping duties include calculating acreages and transferring properties to the tax base. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field with 2–3 years of appraisal experience, plus a valid SC Real Estate Appraisers License or Certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field with 2–3 years of property appraisal experience
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and an SC Real Estate Appraisers License or Certification
• Background check and pre-employment drug screen required
• Driving record for the past 3 years must be submitted with application
