Job summary

The Town of Yarmouth seeks a full-time Appraisal Assistant/Data Collector in our Assessor’s Division. This position performs technical inspections, data entry in the appraisal system, and processes abatements and exemptions. Excellent customer service is required in the office and in the field.

Under the Director of Assessing, prior field work measuring/listing properties is preferable. A high school diploma with coursework in appraisal/real estate and two years related experience is desired,

Qualifications

• High school education with additional coursework in appraisal, real estate, statistics, or data processing.
• Two years of related experience, preferably in real estate.
• Massachusetts driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Data entry in the appraisal system and processing abatements, exemptions, and personal property.
• Perform technical inspections and statistical analysis.
• Provide excellent customer service in-office and in the field.
