Responsibilities

  • Updates real property records in digital and hard copy form.
  • Collects monthly reports on new building permits and enters data for field appraiser duties.
  • Enters appraisal data into the computer.
  • Manages assignment of appraiser work and reports to the Appraisal supervisor.
  • Assists the public and county offices on property tax matters and explains the tax appraisal process.
  • Maintains filing system for permits, property record cards, and sales verification.
  • Enters sales ratio data into the NC DOR database.
  • Performs related tasks as required.
