Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead property accounting across multiple properties and collaborate with property managers and regional teams to ensure accurate, timely financial execution. This role focuses on controlling processes and fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred, and 3–5 years of accounting plus property management experience with direct leadership responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA license preferred.
• Three to five years of accounting experience required.
• Three to five years of property management experience preferred.
• Direct management experience is required.
• Prior experience with Yardi Voyager or similar systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP in multi-family property management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review financial information and prepare journal entries.
• Drive month-end and year-end close processes and prepare reports.
• Develop and maintain accounting controls and policies.
• Coordinate with auditors and prepare FYE documentation.
• Collaborate with property managers to ensure timely pre-close activities.
• Recruit, interview, and develop associates.
• Ensure all debt and funding deadlines are met.
• Perform other duties as required.
