Job summary

The role focuses on reviewing statements, managing close processes, and coordinating with managers and third-party teams to ensure timely reporting. Yardi onboarding and process improvements are key goals in a lean, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of real estate property accounting experience.
• Residential real estate background preferred.
• Experience with rent-controlled properties is a strong plus.
• Comfortable operating in a lean, sophisticated, remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly and quarterly property-level financial statements, including variance analysis, supporting schedules, and general ledger accuracy for a residential portfolio.
• Oversee monthly close processes, bank reconciliations, AP controls, and day-to-day property-level cash management.
• Coordinate closely with property managers and third-party accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Lead onboarding of new acquisitions into Yardi, including entity setup, debt setup, and acquisition cost allocation.
• Manage CapEx tracking, lender draw requests, and ensure compliance with property-level loan covenants.
• Support audit and tax processes, as well as ad hoc reporting requests from the Controller and Director of Finance.
• Provide oversight and guidance to property accountants and support process improvement initiatives across the platform.

Voy is recruiting a Property Accounting Manager for an established, SF–based real estate private equity firm that invests across a mix of residential, commercial and mixed-use properties. Following a significant portfolio acquisition, the firm is expanding its accounting team to support continued growth.

This is a reviewer-level seat focused on property-level accounting for a portfolio of multi-family and rent-controlled properties.

Responsibilities:

• Review monthly and quarterly property-level financial statements, including variance analysis, supporting schedules, and general ledger accuracy for a residential portfolio
• Oversee monthly close processes, bank reconciliations, AP controls, and day-to-day property-level cash management
• Coordinate closely with property managers and third-party accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Lead onboarding of new acquisitions into Yardi, including entity setup, debt setup, and acquisition cost allocation

Compensation & logistics:

• $130k to $150K base + 15–20% target bonus
