Spectrum Search is partnering with a Dallas-based REIT to appoint a Property Accounting Manager who will oversee property-level accounting, monthly reporting, and cross-functional projects across a growing portfolio.

This role interacts with executive leadership and is more than a traditional property accounting position, offering exposure to the CFO and senior management while leading end-to-end reporting and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of property accounting, real estate, or REIT experience.
• Experience with Yardi software.
• Strong financial reporting, month-end close, and analytical skills.
• Comfortable interacting with executives in a lean, growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead property accounting and monthly financial reporting across a real estate portfolio.
• Review operating results, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for assigned properties.
• Partner directly with the CFO on reporting initiatives, process improvements, and special projects.
• Support cash management, treasury functions, and recurring financial reporting requirements.
• Drive accounting process enhancements across multiple business units.

Job description

Spectrum Search is working closely with a REIT in Dallas looking to add a new Property Accounting Manager over its portfolio. This role works directly with top leadership and will lead property-level accounting, monthly reporting, operational processes, and special projects across a growing platform.

This role will wear several hats, interact with multiple business units, and have meaningful exposure to executive leadership. This is much more than a traditional property accounting position.

• Lead property accounting and monthly financial reporting across a real estate portfolio
• Review operating results, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for assigned properties
• Partner directly with the CFO on reporting initiatives, process improvements, and special projects
• Support cash management, treasury functions, and recurring financial reporting requirements
• Drive accounting process enhancements across multiple business units

Experience:

• 5+ years of property accounting, real estate, or REIT experience
• Yardi experience required
• CPA preferred
• Strong financial reporting, month-end close, and analytical skills
• Comfortable working directly with executives in a lean, growing organization

Depending on experience, this role will pay $115k-$120k + 15-20% bonus.
