Atlantic Group in Boston is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee accounting, financial oversight, reporting, and investment activity across a portfolio of private investments.

You will own key finance processes, work with investment professionals, and help drive efficiency, accuracy, and timely decision-making across the portfolio. This role blends technical accounting with exposure to investments, transactions, and portfolio activity.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with investment entities, partnership structures, or private funds is desirable.
• Experience collaborating with external partners (auditors, service providers).
• Ability to mentor junior accounting professionals and manage multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of accounting and reporting activities across a portfolio of investment entities.
• Manage recurring close and reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze portfolio activity and investigate unusual transactions.
• Coordinate with third parties and external service providers on accounting processes.
• Support audits, investor reporting, and annual planning initiatives.
• Guide and develop junior team members through the finance function.
