Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking a Property Accounting Manager to lead a diverse CRE portfolio with ownership of accounting, analysis, and reporting. You will drive monthly closes, GAAP reporting, and budgeting while mentoring a team of property accountants.

The role collaborates with property management and asset teams, emphasizing internal control improvements and system optimization (Yardi, MRI). Strong leadership, communication, and CPA-preferrence are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of commercial real estate or property accounting experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• CPA is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting, financial analysis, and reporting for a portfolio of real estate entities and assets.
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual closes are accurate and timely.
• Review and approve financial workpapers, reconciliations, budgets, and GAAP reporting.
• Lead and mentor a team of property accountants.
• Collaborate with property management, leasing, construction, asset management, and other teams.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and monthly reporting for senior management.
• Improve internal controls and processes; identify gaps and implement improvements.
• Support and optimize property management and accounting systems.
