Job summary

JLL is seeking a Property Accountant in Westmont, IL (Hybrid) to manage financial reporting for a portfolio of multifamily and retail properties. You will be the financial backbone, partnering with property management and clients to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role involves leading monthly close cycles, coordinating budgets, and delivering timely, reliable financial insights across multiple properties. A strong Excel skillset and real estate accounting familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, etc.).
• Strong time management and organization under deadlines.
• Excellent client-facing communication and judgment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for 4–6 properties.
• Complete full close cycle: journal entries, statements, reconciliations.
• Serve as primary financial liaison for on-site teams and clients.
• Oversee accounts payable processing and coding checks.
• Manage bank reconciliations, cash management, and reporting.
• Support annual budget process and year-end reconciliations.
