Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an experienced property accountant for multifamily portfolios in the Orlando area. This role is hybrid, offering in-office collaboration with flexible work-life balance, and involves preparing financial statements, funding/distribution processing, and bank reconciliations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of property accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting (preferred), and strong Excel skills, with proficiency in Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or TOPS.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of property accounting experience in multifamily real estate.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with property management software such as Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or TOPS.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned property portfolios.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial schedules.
• Process owner funding requests and distribution requests.
• Manage mortgage wire transfers and ACH transactions.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account analysis.
• Assist with annual audits and financial reporting requirements.
• Ensure financial records are accurate, timely, and compliant.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
• Utilize property management and accounting software to support daily operations.
• Contribute to special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as assigned.
