Job summary

Greystar, a leading global real estate platform, is seeking a highly organized accountant to apply GAAP, analyze financial information, and prepare standard reports for management. You will support budgeting, reconciliations, and journal entries while coordinating with auditors and property managers for timely reporting.

The role involves remote work within the United States, with responsibilities spanning bank reconciliations, budget oversight, and financial analysis across multiple properties

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 3 years of minimum relevant experience in accounting or a financial setting with GAAP experience.
• Experience applying GAAP to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
• Proactive, self-directed, highly motivated with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information for entry into financial statements and general ledger entries.
• Review budget, revenue, expenses, payroll, invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform bank reconciliations, wire transfers, mortgage payments and distributions.
• Maintain accounting control procedures and analyze revenue/expenditure trends for budgeting.
• Analyze resources for acquisitions, dispositions, and budgets; assist audit processes.
• Act as liaison to internal/external auditors and provide supporting data.
• Coordinate with managers to complete pre-close and close activities for timely reporting.
• Prepare various financial and administrative reports as required.
