Job summary

RPM Development Group in New Jersey seeks a qualified Property Accountant to manage monthly general ledger closing and prepare journal entries for 15–18 properties. The role supports the Accounting Department and ensures accurate financial reporting. Candidates should have an accounting degree with 3–5 years of GL experience, solid knowledge of GAAP, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Yardi Voyager, and QuickBooks. Residential property experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to serve as Property Accountant who will be responsible for the monthly general ledger closing in addition to the preparation of all journal entries.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monthly general ledger closing, including preparation of journal entries for 15-18 properties
• General Ledger Account Reconciliations
• Bank Reconciliations
• Reconciliation and processing of all real estate tax bills
• Internal and external reporting
• Special projects as pertains to business needs
• Providing general assistance to Accounting Department

Qualifications

• Accounting Degree plus 3-5 years of general ledger experience
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Office [Excel, Word, Outlook] Yardi Voyager and Quickbooks
• Detailed oriented and ability to consistently meet deadlines
• Property Management and/or residential construction experience a plus
