Job summary

AccruePartners in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced accountant to support month-end close across a multi-property portfolio, emphasizing accuracy and timely reporting. The role offers a hybrid work model with occasional in-office time.

You will prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations; track fixed assets and property-related costs; review monthly statements; and work with property managers to resolve variances.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2–3 years of full-cycle accounting or property accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Experience with fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and budget-to-actual variance analysis.
• CPA or progress toward the CPA is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close across a portfolio of commercial healthcare properties.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to maintain accurate property-level financial records.
• Assist with the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and reporting packages.
• Track fixed assets, prepaid expenses, property-related costs, and other balance-sheet activity.
• Research account variances and partner with property managers to resolve financial and operational questions.
• Maintain accurate accounting records for REIT-owned properties and third-party property management clients.
• Support annual audits and ensure financial reporting complies with GAAP and client requirements.

• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple properties, deadlines, and reporting priorities
