Job summary

Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Property Accountant to support financial reporting and real estate assets. This onsite role is based in Chandler, AZ, collaborating with finance, operations, and property management to ensure accurate records and timely reporting under GAAP.

You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and cost allocations for properties, with opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within property accounting, real estate, manufacturing, industrial, or similar environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Technical skills in GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepares financial statements and reports – ensures data is accurate, timely and GAAP-compliant.
• Supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities – completes journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Manages property accounting activities – maintains records, monitors account activity, and oversees cost allocations for properties.
• Performs financial analysis and variance reporting – identifies trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.
• Supports budgeting, forecasting, and compliance efforts – assists with budgets, audits, tax reporting, and internal controls.
