Location: Boca Raton, FL | Schedule: Full-time, on-site

Overview

A large, established real estate development company is seeking a Property Accountant to join its team in a modern Boca Raton office. This role is central to managing month-end close processes, preparing financial statements, and overseeing cash management for a portfolio of properties.

What you'll do

• Gather required information for month-end close by preparing and entering monthly journal entries, performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining cash sheets
• Complete balance sheet schedules to ensure accurate reporting of monthly financials and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Reconcile monthly interest and loan balances with lender statements
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for all entities within the assigned portfolio
• Manage cash activity, including initiating wire transfers and recording all cash-related transactions for the portfolio promptly
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Review construction P&L accounts
• Review the property management financial statement package
• Prepare monthly draw requests
• Participate in company-provided training, including safety, anti-discrimination, information systems, and harassment prevention
• Adhere to all company standards, health and safety regulations, and applicable local, state, and federal laws

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in accounting and full financial statement preparation
• Bachelor's Degree
