Pluckers Wing Bar - Corporate in Austin, TX is seeking a Property Accountant to join the finance team and support the VP of Accounting & Finance. This hands-on role manages property GLs, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly, quarterly and annual statements.

You will handle accounts payable/receivable, tenant billing, CAM reconciliations, and lease administration while ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate lease data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on property or real estate accounting.
• Experience with CAM reconciliations and operating expense recoveries.
• Hands-on lease administration and lease abstraction experience.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

We are looking for a dynamic Property Accountant. This position will work closely with and report directly to the VP of Accounting & Finance. This position is a very hands-on position that will play an important role in the accounting and finance process.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for an assigned portfolio of properties, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Process all accounts payable and accounts receivable, including tenant billing, rent collection, and vendor payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow for each property.
• Calculate and process common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliations and operating expenses.
• Ensure compliance with lease terms, GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Maintain and administer lease files, including abstracting key lease terms (rent schedules, escalations, renewal options, security deposits).
• Track and enforce critical lease dates such as renewals, expirations, rent escalations, and option periods, ensuring timely notifications to VP and ownership.
• Ensure tenant billing (base rent, CAM, taxes, insurance) aligns accurately with executed lease terms and amendments.
• Review new leases, amendments, and renewals for accurate setup and coordinate with legal/facilities team as needed.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready lease documentation and support lease-related inquiries during audits or due diligence.
• Assist with lease accounting compliance (e.g., ASC 842/IFRS 16) as applicable
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciation.
• Assist in various projects and audits as assigned by the VP of Accounting and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience; in a property or real estate accounting role within a high-volume processing environment.
• Must have experience with CAM reconciliations and operating expense recoveries.
• Hands-on experience with lease administration and lease abstraction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and proven ability to organize data efficiently.
• Ability to multi-task, adhere to tight deadlines and be self-disciplined.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Hours and Work Environment

• Full-time, additional hours required during peak and busy seasons.
• Position will be based 100% in our corporate office in downtown Austin (this is not a remote position)
