The Property Accountant will manage monthly financial statements for multiple properties, perform journal entries and reconciliations, and contribute to budgets and forecasts. Collaboration with property managers and auditors will be essential to success.

Qualifications

• 2 years of real estate accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• ERP system experience such as Yardi, MRI, Entrada.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle the accounting for multiple properties with monthly financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and cash flow.
• CAM reconciliations and real estate taxes.
• Involved with annual budgets and reforecasting.
• A/R and A/P; work closely with property managers on A/R issues and reconciliations.
• Work closely with internal and external auditors for annual paperwork.
• Handle any special projects.

The Property Accountant will handle the following:

• Handle the accounting for multiple properties with financial statements monthly, along with journal entries, reconciliations, cash flow, etc.…
• CAM reconciliations and real estate taxes
• Involved with annual budgets and reforecasting
• A/R, A/P, work closely with the property managers on any A/R issues and rec
• Work closely with internal and external auditors for annual paperwork
• Any special projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
• Must have 2 years of real estate accounting experience
• Stable work history; no job hoppers
• ERP system experience such as Yardi, MRI, Entrada
• Advanced Excel skills
• Attention to detail, deadline-driven, well-written communication skills, and a passion for the real estate industry
