Job summary

Proper Brands in Missouri—Crestwood is seeking a Part-Time Budtender (Cannabis Patient Care Specialist) to deliver an exceptional patient experience, process dispensary sales efficiently, and perform administrative duties that keep the dispensary running smoothly.

You will build product knowledge, educate patients on options, assist with POS, maintain cash accuracy, and uphold strong hygiene and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment. Weekend/evening shifts expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years in retail and guest services.
• Passion for medical cannabis.
• Able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service-oriented and team-centered with a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Understand medicinal effects of cannabis (Sativa/Indica/Hybrid).
• Must be 21+ with ability to obtain Missouri Agent ID by start date.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and work weekends/evenings; travel up to 10%.

What the role is about:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Budtender (Cannabis Patient Care Specialist) to join us on our journey to transform our bold ambitions for the Missouri medical cannabis market into a reality. As a Budtender, you will deliver an exceptional patient experience, process dispensary sales efficiently and accurately, and complete administrative duties that keep the dispensary running smoothly.

What impact you’ll make:

• Create a positive, memorable experience for every Proper Cannabis patient while ensuring their safety and satisfaction
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all dispensary products and their medicinal qualities
• Educate patients on available products and tailor recommendations to their needs in compliance with state law
• Answer product questions, gather feedback from returning patients to further customize recommendations, and serve as a brand ambassador
• Enter sales orders into the POS system, process payments, dispense change, and maintain an accurate cash count in your assigned drawer
• Update sales and inventory records accurately and maintain patient confidentiality
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dispensary in adherence to hygiene and sanitation guidelines, including assigned side jobs
• Back up team members, maintain patient flow, and collaborate with dispensary staff during peak business volume
• Attend team meetings and maintain professional, positive, and effective working relationships

What you’ve accomplished:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years in retail and guest services
• Passion for medical cannabis
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer service-oriented and team-centered with a positive attitude
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to gain and maintain a thorough understanding of the medicinal implications and effects of Sativa, Indica, and Hybrid strains
• Must be 21 years of age or older, with the ability to obtain a Missouri Agent ID by start date, which includes submitting fingerprints and passing a criminal background check
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, sit, stand, and carry and lift up to 30 lbs in an environmentally controlled retail store, with weekend and possible evening shifts and travel up to 10% of the time
• Preferred: Familiarity with Missouri medical cannabis laws and regulations, and 1+ years of cannabis retail experience
