Bird-Johnson Propeller Company is seeking a Finisher II to join a team dedicated to the quality and performance of industry-leading propellers and components. You will perform precision grinding, surface finishing, balancing, and inspection to ensure products meet tolerances and quality requirements.

This hands-on manufacturing role supports U.S. Navy products and involves safely handling components weighing over 10,000 pounds using specialized equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of manufacturing experience in propeller finishing.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Surface Finishing: finish propellers of various sizes using approved tools and methods for U.S. Navy products.
• Grinding and Defect Repair: repair minor surface defects and grind surfaces to target tolerances.
• Inspection and Measurement: perform LPI and record geometry using gauges and calipers; stencil hub data.
• Component Balancing: balance propeller blades, hub bodies, and assemblies to meet performance specs.
• Documentation and Compliance: maintain process records following HS&E, quality, and security requirements.
• Material Handling: rig, move, and position large components with cranes and forklifts.
• Workplace Organization: maintain 5S compliant work areas.
