Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense seeks a Finisher II with hands-on experience in propeller finishing to join the Bird-Johnson Propeller Company team. You will perform precision grinding, surface finishing, balancing, and inspection to meet tight tolerances for U.S. Navy components.

The role involves handling heavy parts >10,000 pounds, safe rigging, and operating cranes. A high school diploma and two years of compatible experience are required, along with U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of manufacturing experience in propeller finishing.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Surface finishing: finish propellers using approved tools and procedures.
• Grinding and defect repair to meet tolerances.
• Inspection and measurement of geometry and thickness with gauges and calipers.
