Job summary

PepUp in Federalsburg, Maryland is seeking a hands-on inventory technician to maintain propane tank and appliance inventories. You will receive tanks, dispense propane, and support storage with safety in mind.

Duties include reconditioning ASME/DOT cylinders, recertifying 20 lb. tanks, painting and valve work, and coordinating with vendors for outside recertification. Forklift experience and a gas fitter license are preferred; CDL is a plus. This outdoor role demands vigilance and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive propane tanks from districts and wholesalers, evacuating, and evaluating as needed.
• Dispense propane, filling tanks for placement and sale.
• Reconditioning, repairing, coating, and organizing ASME and DOT cylinders and tanks.
• Recertifying 20 lb. tanks including inspection, painting, and valve replacement.
• Painting and replacing valves in ASME tanks.
• Utilizing forklift and other machinery to unload trucks and trailers.
• Coordinating with vendors for outside recertification
• Providing customer service and dispensing information as required.
