Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Propane Specialist to ensure safe and timely delivery of propane to customers. You will load, unload, and deliver propane while delivering excellent customer service, and you will uphold high safety standards in handling propane and conducting vehicle inspections.

The role requires a valid CDL (A or B), a current DOT medical certification, and willingness to rotate on-call shifts in the evenings and on weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL Class A or B required.
• Up-to-date DOT medical certification required.
• Willingness to rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; visa sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane products to and from containers for customers; manage signatures/payments.
• Use technology to monitor propane inventory, track tank levels, and generate delivery tickets.
• Perform pre/post vehicle inspections and report any issues to Fleet Manager.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; report issues promptly.
• Provide propane tank installations and address leaks; respond to customer emergencies.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

The Propane Specialist is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Propane Specialist will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Propane Specialist are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane products to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks, and/or cylinders) for customers. Initiate and conduct the asset verification process. Collect customer signatures/stamps and payments for deposit if necessary. Offer customer brochures with basic price lists and a contact number. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable, document pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the Dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Provide Propane tank installations in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all state/local codes and safety policies. Identify and correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection. Respond to customer emergencies as needed. Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations. Perform tank maintenance on spare tanks in preparation of installation.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency:

The hourly rate for this position is $26.00 - $30.00 per hour , with flexibility for highly qualified candidates based on industry experience, CDL/Hazmat endorsements, and technical expertise .

Please note the compensation information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, geographical location, as well as market and business considerations.

This role will be eligible for overtime pay once scheduled work week hours are met.

When applicable, this role is eligible for an on-call incentive stipend.

This position is also eligible for a quarterly/annual incentive program.
