Job summary

Ferrellgas is seeking a dependable Service Technician in the Birmingham area to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial propane systems. You will respond to emergencies, perform safety testing, and ensure customers enjoy safe, reliable service, with local routes that keep you close to home.

You will work in a safety-first environment with a strong emphasis on customer service, requiring a valid US driver’s license and preferred CDL B with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related service or technical experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• CDL Class B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (preferred).
• Citizen or National of the United States, or eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain propane systems and equipment for residential and commercial customers.
• Respond to emergency calls and perform system testing to ensure safety compliance.
• Safely load, transport, and deliver propane as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and sharing safety and service information.
• Assist with appliance service and deliveries when needed based on customer demand.
