Job summary

The Energy Cooperative in Newark, OH is seeking a Propane Driver / Service Technician at the Nashport Service Center. The role involves direct service to members, propane delivery, and safety-compliant installations and inspections.

Applicants must hold a Class B CDL with hazmat endorsements, with ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outside standard hours as needed. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class B or greater with a clean driving record; hazmat, tanker and air brakes endorsements.
• Certification in propane system installation, operation and service.
• Ability to read NFPA codes and national standards for gas systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and replace propane storage tanks, lines, regulators, and meters at member locations.
• Perform gas leak and appliance inspections.
• Deliver propane and propane accessories to members.
• Respond to emergency calls outside regular hours.
• Prepare documentation on propane installations, checks, replacements and inspections.
• Respect safety procedures and regulatory guidelines at all times.
