Job summary

AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is hiring a Service Technician in Cicero, IL. You will install and repair propane tanks for commercial and residential customers, operate a propane service vehicle safely, and uphold all safety and regulatory standards.

Candidates must hold a valid CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check. Outdoor work and lifting up to 70 lbs are required; commitment to customer service and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements required.
• Able to pass DOT physical, drug test and background check.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes.
• Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers.
• Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers.
• On an as-needed basis, perform Delivery Representative functions, such as delivering bulk or canister propane.
• Adhere to all federal/state codes and AmeriGas safety and operations policies; use PPE.
