Job summary

Central Farm Service in Minnesota is seeking a propane service technician to install, inspect and service tanks and systems while delivering outstanding customer service. You will educate customers on safe usage, complete paperwork promptly and perform routine inspections.

Role requires a valid CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently or in a team. On-site, full-time position with competitive benefits and salary.

Qualifications

• One year relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect and service propane tanks, equipment and systems following all codes and regulations.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Educate customers on safe use of propane and appliances.
• Accurately complete invoices and related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Make routine sales calls and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain equipment in clean, operational condition and assist with propane delivery.
• Follow all safety policies and regulatory requirements; work safely and professionally.
• Represent the company professionally in action and appearance.

Job Duties

Position Objective: In this job, the team member will install, inspect and service propane tanks, equipment and systems and provide outstanding customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Educate customers on the safe use of propane and appliances.

• Make routine sales calls
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report all maintenance items to supervisor.
• Maintain equipment in operational and cleanly appearances at all times.
• Assist with other operations – propane delivery
• Know and follow all company safety policies/procedure. Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations
• Represent yourself and CFS professionally at all times in action and appearance.
• Make decisions and follow instructions with little or no supervision
• Perform other duties and projects as requested by supervisor or management
