Job summary

Dead River Company is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial propane and/or oil heating equipment while providing excellent customer service. The role emphasizes safety, neat appearance, and reliable, on-time service across customer sites.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred. Apprenticeship to journeyman/master progression is described, with pre-employment physical and valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school training preferred.
• Experience in oil/propane service and customer service is relevant.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair oil/propane heating systems per codes and company policies.
• Perform efficiency tests, tune-ups, and contract service inspections.
• Record parts/labor for service calls and maintain inventory in the service vehicle.
• Participate in night and weekend on-call schedule as necessary.
