Job summary

Dead River Company in Fort Kent, ME is seeking a Service Technician - LP and Oil Burner Journeyman to install, troubleshoot and repair residential and commercial propane and/or oil burner equipment with a focus on safety and customer service.

The role involves conducting efficiency tests, tune-ups, and contract inspections, maintaining a neat service vehicle, and promoting company products while advising customers on best options. On-call nights/weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school training preferred.
• Licensing: Apprentice/Journeyman/Master designation as required in relevant states.
• Propane CETP certification required for propane technicians.
• A valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment physical.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots and repairs oil and/or propane heating systems in accordance with codes and company policies.
• Performs efficiency tests, tune-ups, and contract service inspections.
• Records parts and labor for service calls; maintains parts inventories in the service vehicle.
• Maintains a neat and orderly service vehicle and promotes company products and services.
• Participates in night and weekend on-call schedule and adheres to safety practices.
