Job summary

Haffner’s, a regional leader in fuel distribution and HVAC services in New England, seeks a Propane Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial heating systems and related tanks. You will work at customer sites, ensure accurate documentation, and communicate with dispatch and customers throughout visits.

The role requires >3 years propane service experience, valid NH/MA licenses as applicable, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years propane service experience (trainees waived).
• Licenses including NH Gas Fitter or MA LP Installer; MA Master Plumber where applicable (trainees waived).
• Clean MA/NH/ME driving record; ability to pass drug/alcohol tests.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs propane tanks, piping, heating equipment and appliances at residential and commercial sites.
• Communicates delays and issues to dispatchers and customers in a timely manner.
• Documents equipment upon arrival with make, model, serial number and fuel type; conduct tests and take photos.
• Diagnoses electrical and mechanical issues and explains findings and solutions to customers.
• Procures parts, calibrates systems per manufacturer guidance, and tests functionality.
• Identifies opportunities for additional services or contracts and reports them to the owner.
