Job summary

Haffner's is hiring a Propane Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial heating systems, tanks, and piping. The role involves field visits, precise documentation, and customer communication to ensure safe, efficient operation of propane systems.

The position offers an hourly, non-exempt schedule with a $4,000 sign-on bonus and a pay range of $30.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum experience in propane service (waived for trainees).
• Clean MA/NH/ME driving record.
• Ability to pass company drug test, alcohol test, and physical.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, overtime, and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs tanks, piping, heating equipment, and appliances at commercial and residential sites.
• Communicates with dispatchers to maintain schedule and inform customers of delays.
• Documents all installed equipment including make, model, serial number, fuel type, test measurements, and photos.
• Diagnoses electrical and mechanical service issues.
• Explains issues and resolutions to customers along with pricing and services.
• Repairs by obtaining parts, calibrating to manufacturer specs, and testing components.
• Identifies opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, additional services).
• Completes visit with customer signature and contact details.

Education

NH Gas Fitter License (prefer Service Technician endorsement)

MA LP Installer
