Job summary

Dave Hausbeck Trucking (DHT) in the Grand Rapids region is seeking experienced CDL-A HazMat tanker drivers for propane and butane transport. This is a home-weekly regional role with strong earning potential and seasonal freight.

You will load/unload, perform inspections, and maintain compliant logs while representing DHT professionally at terminals and customer locations. The position requires a valid CDL-A, HazMat, and a safe driving record.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement
• Minimum 1 year verifiable CDL-A experience
• Safe driving record and responsible
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to handle hoses, pumps, and tanker equipment

Responsibilities

• Safely transport propane and butane (UN1075) throughout Michigan, Indiana, and surrounding states
• Load at major propane supply terminals; unload using pumps and hoses
• Deliver safely and professionally to DHT customers
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and Hours of Service compliance
• Follow DOT, FMCSA, customer, and DHT safety requirements
• Represent DHT professionally at terminals and customer locations

EXPERIENCED TANKER DRIVERS - WE HAVE TRUCKS TO FILL.

Dave Hausbeck Trucking (DHT) is expanding our Propane & Butane Division throughout the Grand Rapids, Southwest Michigan, and Indiana region and hiring experienced CDL-A Hazmat Tanker Drivers.

This is not an entry-level tanker position.

We're looking for professional drivers who understand the responsibility that comes with hauling propane and butane, take safety seriously, and want strong earning potential without staying on the road for weeks at a time.

EARNING POTENTIAL

Average Gross Weekly Earnings: $1,300-$2,500+

• $0.70-$0.75 CPM, based on experience
• Paid loading and unloading
• Night-out stipend
• Detention pay

Actual earnings vary based on experience, freight volume, driver availability, and seasonal demand.

HOME WEEKLY

Typical Schedule: 5 DAYS OUT | 2 DAYS HOME

• Home every week
• Regional / OTR operation serving Grand Rapids, Southwest Michigan, Indiana, and surrounding markets
• One weekend day availability required
• Consistent work during peak propane season

You can earn strong tanker money without disappearing for weeks at a time.
