Job summary

DHT Group is seeking experienced CDL-A Hazmat Tanker Drivers for its Grand Rapids regional operation. You will haul propane and butane (UN1075) across Michigan, Indiana, and nearby markets, with home weekly and strong earning potential.

We offer paid loading/unloading, a regional route structure, and a focus on safety. Applicants need Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, valid CDL-A, and at least one year of verifiable experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat endorsement required.
• Tanker endorsement required (or X endorsement).
• Minimum of 1 year verifiable CDL-A driving experience.
• Safe driving record and ability to meet DOT qualification requirements.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and handle hoses, pumps, tanker equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transport propane and butane (UN1075) across Michigan, Indiana and regional markets.
• Load at major propane terminals and unload at customer sites.
• Deliver safely and professionally to DHT customers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain ELD records.

CDL-A Hazmat Tanker Driver | $1,300–$2,500+/Week | Home Weekly | Grand Rapids, MI

Dave Hausbeck Trucking (DHT Group) is expanding our Propane & Butane Division throughout the Grand Rapids / Southwest Michigan / Indiana region and hiring qualified CDL-A Hazmat Tanker Drivers now.

$1,300–$2,500+ average gross weekly earnings. $0.70–$0.75 CPM. Paid loading and unloading. Home weekly.

This is not an entry-level driving position.

We're looking for professional drivers who understand the responsibility that comes with hauling propane and butane, take safety seriously, and want specialized tanker work with strong earning potential and weekly home time.

Earning Potential

Average Gross Weekly Earnings: $1,300–$2,500+.

• $0.70–$0.75 CPM, based on experience

Actual earnings vary based on experience, freight volume, driver availability, routes, and seasonal demand.

Home Weekly — Regional Operation

• Home every week
• Typical schedule of approximately 5 days on the road followed by 2 days home
• Regional operation serving Grand Rapids, Southwest Michigan, Indiana, and surrounding markets
• One weekend day availability required
• Consistent work during peak propane season

What You'll Do

• Transport propane and butane (UN1075) throughout Michigan, Indiana, and surrounding regional markets
• Load at major propane supply terminals throughout the Midwest
• Deliver safely and professionally to DHT customers
• Load and unload tanker trailers using pumps, hoses, and associated equipment
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate ELD records and Hours of Service compliance
• Follow applicable DOT, FMCSA, customer, and DHT safety requirements
• Represent DHT professionally at terminals and customer locations

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Hazmat (H) endorsement required
• Tanker (N) endorsement required; combined X endorsement accepted
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
• Safe driving record
• Ability to meet applicable DOT qualification requirements
• Ability to work safely outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely handle hoses, pumps, and tanker equipment
