Job summary

Heller’s Gas in the Mid-Atlantic region seeks a Delivery Technician to transport propane, install and service tanks and gas appliances, and perform leak tests in the field. You will verify tank information, inspect equipment, and educate customers on safe operation and maintenance.

The full-time role requires a valid Class B CDL with hazmat endorsement, strong mechanical skills, and willingness for after-hours calls; most work is outdoors with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Relevant experience preferred.
• Must have a valid Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement and comply with DOT rules.

Responsibilities

• Transfer propane from bulk storage to truck and to customer tanks.
• Verify tank information on delivery including serial number.
• Perform visual inspections and report issues.
• Monitor truck tank levels to ensure adequate supply.
• Educate customers on safe operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Inspect the company vehicle daily and report issues promptly.
• Install and maintain propane tanks, gas piping systems and appliances.
• Perform leak tests and safety checks on supply systems and equipment.
• Prepare work orders, invoices, and documentation per standards.
