Job summary

Heller’s Gas is seeking a Delivery Technician to transport propane to customers, perform leak tests, and ensure safe operation of company vehicles in the field. The role involves installation and maintenance of propane tanks and gas appliances, while upholding safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Class B CDL with tanker, air brake, and hazmat endorsements, and is comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Relevant experience preferred.
• Familiarity with computers or mobile devices used in service.
• Valid Class B CDL with tanker, hazmat endorsements required.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug testing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Transfer propane from bulk storage to truck and to customer tanks.
• Verify tank information upon delivery including serial numbers.
• Perform visual inspections and report issues.
• Monitor truck tank levels and ensure adequate supply.
• Install and maintain propane tanks, gas piping and appliances.
• Educate customers on safe operation and maintenance procedures.
