Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a delivery driver to service customers across Connecticut. You will transfer, load, and deliver propane, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and use technology to track deliveries and print tickets.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year delivery experience, a CDL Class A or B, and a current DOT medical certification. Tanker and Hazmat endorsements are preferred; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience.
• CDL Class A or B required.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Current DOT medical certification required.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane and related products to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Utilize technology to monitor and track propane transfers, tank levels and printing delivery tickets.
• Complete and submit daily driver reports as needed.
• Report mechanical issues to Fleet Manager/Dispatcher and perform pre/post inspections if applicable.
• Coordinate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling and communicate issues promptly.
• Overtime may be required as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Current DOT medical certification
