Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Propane Delivery Driver to safely and timely deliver propane to customers, loading and unloading cargo and ensuring top-notch customer service. You will uphold safety standards, perform vehicle inspections and maintenance, and use technology to track inventory and delivery tickets.

You must have a High School diploma or GED, CDL A/B preferred, and DOT medical certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A or B preferred.
• DOT medical certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology to monitor propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; record and print delivery tickets.
• Complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Perform pre- and post-vehicle inspections and site/tank inspections; report issues.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; communicate safety concerns promptly.
• Overtime hours may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Propane Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Current DOT medical certification
• Ability to work overtime and on call
