Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a dependable Propane Delivery Driver to ensure safe, timely propane deliveries and provide exceptional customer service.

You will load/unload propane, keep the vehicle in top condition, and use technology to document deliveries and print tickets for customers. The role requires coordinating with the Dispatcher and adapting to routes, with on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience.
• CDL Class A or B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement required.
• Current DOT medical certification required.
• Willingness to rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane to customers from bulk trucks, tanks and cylinders.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Utilize technology to monitor propane inventory, tank levels and print delivery tickets; submit daily driver reports when needed.
• Maintain safety standards; perform pre/post vehicle inspections and site inspections as applicable.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling information; communicate issues promptly.
• Overtime may be required to meet business needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Propane Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.
