Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Propane Delivery Driver to ensure safe, timely delivery of propane to customers. You will load, unload and handle propane with a focus on safety, conduct vehicle inspections, and coordinate with the Dispatcher for efficient routing.

Experience with propane delivery and a commercial CDL is preferred. Hourly pay ranges from $28.00 to $31.00, with flexibility for qualified candidates based on CDL/Hazmat endorsements and experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery driver experience preferred.
• CDL Class A or B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Current DOT medical certification is required.
• Ability to work overtime and be on call.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, load and discharge propane to customer sites.
• Deliver, unload and provide safe handling of propane.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and drive logs.
• Record delivery tickets and monitor inventory using available technology.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and site inspections as needed.
• Communicate with Dispatcher regarding routing and safety issues.
• Overtime and other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Propane Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Propane Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

The hourly rate ranges from $28.00-31.00with flexibility for highly qualified candidates based on industry experience, CDL/Hazmat endorsements, and technical expertise.
