Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. is seeking a Propane Bobtail Delivery driver in Indianapolis, IN. The role delivers propane to residential and commercial customers, installs tanks, and performs related service work on a local route.

Qualified candidates have a CDL Class B with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brakes, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift 75–100 pounds. Safety is emphasized and DOT/OSHA regulations must be followed.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be comfortable using computers.
• CDL Class B license with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brakes.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Clean driving record (3+ years).
• DOT pre-employment drug screen and physical required.

Responsibilities

• Provide propane delivery service to residential and commercial customers using a bobtail truck on local route.
• Install residential/commercial above ground and below ground propane tanks.
• Perform propane related service work.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly working environment.
• Read, understand and follow all SOPs.
• Ensure vehicles are appropriately placarded and/or labeled.
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain electronic trip-logs.
• Prepare and complete paperwork such as shipping papers and delivery tickets.

Delivery Driver – Propane Bobtail:

• Provide propane delivery service to residential and commercial customers using a bobtail truck on local route
• Install residential/commercial above ground and below ground propane tanks
• Perform propane related service work
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly working environment
• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Ensures vehicles are appropriately placarded and/or labeled
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain electronic trip-logs
• Ensures appropriate preparation/completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Education Requirements
