Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Propane Bobtail Delivery Driver to service local residential and commercial customers on a bobtail truck.

The role requires a CDL B with Hazmat/Tanker/Air Brakes, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift 75–100 pounds. You will perform pre-trip inspections, manage paperwork, and follow SOPs while supporting a safety-first, team-driven workflow.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B license with Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brakes.
• Safety First Minded attitude.
• Experience preferred, not required.
• DOT pre-employment drug test & physical & company road test completed.
• Delivery experience a plus.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Clean driving record 3+ years.
• Ability to lift 75-100 pounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be comfortable using computers.

Responsibilities

• Provide propane delivery service to residential and commercial customers using a bobtail truck on local route.
• Install residential/commercial above ground and below ground propane tanks.
• Perform propane related service work.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly working environment.
• Read, understand and follow all SOPs.
• Ensure vehicles are placarded/labeled appropriately.
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain electronic trip-logs.
• Ensure accurate paperwork including shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Other duties as assigned.

Delivery Driver – Propane Bobtail:

• Provide propane delivery service to residential and commercial customers using a bobtail truck on local route
• Install residential/commercial above ground and below ground propane tanks
• Perform propane related service work
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly working environment
• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Ensures vehicles are appropriately placarded and/or labeled
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain electronic trip-logs
• Ensures appropriate preparation/completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Other duties as assigned
