Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is seeking a Propane Delivery Driver in Lewiston, ME to safely and promptly deliver propane. You will load and unload propane, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain vehicle safety standards and regular inspections.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, CDL Class A or B, and relevant endorsements. Hourly pay ranges from $30.00 to $33.00 with overtime and incentive programs where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year delivery driver experience preferred.
• CDL Class A or B required; tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred.
• DOT medical certification required.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane to customers from containers (bulk truck, tanks, cylinders).
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Use available technology to monitor transfers, tank levels, and print delivery tickets; complete daily driver reports as needed.
• Maintain safety standards; perform pre/post vehicle and site inspections; report issues to Fleet Manager/Dispatcher.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; notify of issues to receive guidance.
• Work overtime when required; perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Propane Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to our customers. The Propane Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience preferred
• CDL Class A or B
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred
• Current DOT medical certification

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 - $33.00 per hour.

This role will be eligible for overtime pay once scheduled work week hours are met.

When applicable, this role is eligible for an on-call incentive stipend.

This position is also eligible for a quarterly/annual incentive program.
