Job summary

Disneyland Resort in California invites applicants for a Custom Sewing Operator to fabricate upholstery, draperies, banners and related items for show quality. You will work behind the scenes with Entertainment Parade Maintenance and operate various industrial sewing machines.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial sewing equipment (single and double needle, serger, binding, and tackers).
• Sew fabrics from light to heavy including by hand when required.
• Completed a trade school, art school, or formal training.
• 5+ years professional experience in this trade.
• Strong written and verbal communication with vendors, cast members, and Disney management.

Responsibilities

• Sew upholstery, draperies, awnings, umbrellas, weather covers, flags, pennants, banners, and any other product as required.
• Set correct tension and choose the proper thread for the product being sewn.
• Complete and prepare products for installation including proper tagging and storage of product for pickup.
