Job summary

Cumulus Media in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Part-Time Promotions Assistant to support events and on-site activations for our radio stations. The role involves traveling around the area, setting up tents, hanging banners, engaging with listeners, and helping with prize fulfillment and social media posts.

This position requires a flexible schedule, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Represent stations at events in an upbeat, outgoing and friendly manner.
• Data entry of promotional events and contests.
• Create e-blasts, social media posts and website posts; review promotional information and graphics.
• Inventory and maintenance of prize closet, calendars and events.
• Assist the Promotions and Marketing Department with projects in the office.
• Assist with vehicle inspections and maintenance coordination.
• Drive station vehicles with attached trailer.
• Maintain and store station equipment.

Position Overview

Part‑Time Promotions Assistant. This role includes general office duties and community outreach to promote stations. The assistant travels around the area as a brand ambassador, sets up pop‑up tents and tables, hangs banners, interacts with listeners, and executes on‑site activations. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Office responsibilities include prize fulfillment, event preparation, contest building, attending promotions meetings, posting on radio station social media, brainstorming ideas, and supporting promotion tasks. The role also involves errands and vehicle maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing and execution of promotional events and digital campaigns
• Execute proper technical and physical set‑up and breakdown of remote broadcasts and station events; troubleshoot and resolve issues on the fly
• Represent stations at events in an upbeat, outgoing and friendly manner
• Data entry of promotional events and contests
• Create e‑blasts, social media posts and website posts; review promotional information and graphics
• Inventory and maintenance of prize closet, calendars and events for current and upcoming promotions
• Assist the Promotions and Marketing Department with projects as needed in the office
• Assist with vehicle inspections, fuel and coordinating maintenance
• Drive station vehicles with attached trailer
• Maintain and store station equipment

Qualifications

• No experience necessary, however customer service experience helpful
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Reliable; flexible schedule and available to work at least 20 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
• May require lifting or moving up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Outgoing, energetic, detail‑oriented and responsible
• Proficient using computers and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Multi‑tasking abilities
• Event experience a plus
• Works well with a variety of personalities
• Passion and desire to perform at a high level in a competitive environment
• Positive attitude, even in stressful situations, is a must
• Desire and bravado to share innovative ideas with team
• Ability to ask for clarification when needed

Pay Range

USD $12.00 - $12.00 /Hr.
